California Consumer Privacy Act Final Regulations: What Businesses Need to Know

The CCPA was originally passed by the California Legislature in 2018 to give California Residents more control over collection and sharing of their personal information by Covered Businesses. It gives California Residents a private right of action related to breaches involving their data, and gives the California Attorney General  a right to take enforcement action against a business that violates the CCPA.
