On 24.07.2024, the German government published its draft law on the implementation of the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) into national law. In the future, companies affected by the law will have to report in detail on various environmental, social and governance factors together with their annual financial statements. In some cases, the planned reporting obligations go far beyond the reporting obligations already in force in the context of the non-financial statement.
